Founding
Edtric was founded in 2008 by Wess Gates as a Hardware-Centric company. Edtric knows that software would cease to exist without hardware and, therefore, well-engineered hardware is at the center of every successful system. Edtric was founded to fill the hardware gap that has begun to grow in American engineering.
Aerospace Design and Consulting
Our primary focus is the design and development of aerospace systems for commercial and govenrment customers. We specialize in Guidance, Navigation, and Control software and hardware integration.
Education and Community Outreach
Fostering creativity in the fields of science and technology is a crucial step towards bringing up the next generation of engineers. We believe that it is important to educate the next generation and hands-on experience is an important aspect for future engineers. Edtric partners with local educators and universities to teach people about electronics and emerging prototyping technologies.
Unmanned Systems
Edtric is currently developing an Unmanned Aerial System called Avatar. The platform consists of a flying-wing airframe, a flight control board, and a cross platform ground control station. We anticipate our first test flight early 2014. Avatar is targeted towards local search and rescue, law enforcement, and civilian use.
